Monkey Alex by ~pink-sage on deviantART
First finished piece of my series! This one is of my awesome friend Alex Q. Ryan. Because he loves monkeys like I do, and I needed something for a present, this piece was born last night. The portrait bit was made in marker, whereas the background was made in watercolor.
I am continuing to work on Ben Templesmith’s and Molly Mcisaac’s piece, so stay tuned!

100 faces of Awesome, is a series of portraits I am working on. This series is meant to depict the faces of 100 people I admire, love, and care about. I recently started the series with my good friends Ben and Molly. This is my work in progress which I did in pen and started to color digitally. I am thinking I will not create all of these pieces with the same style. Some will be abstract, digital, mix media, etc. This will keep this project fun, and give me an excuse to experiment with different mediums.
Expect posts of my work in progress through out this adventure!
For the past few weeks, I have been in hibernation mode watching every season of Buffy The Vampire Slayer on Netflix and slaving away on this, my new portfolio. Just me, my computer, Coke Zero, and cheesy one liners.
But today is the day. The day we (royal we, of course) have all been waiting for. Launching my new site where not only all of my work is shown, but also the addition of this blog. Although, I tend to write for various online outlets about my favorite topics, I rarely ever write about myself. With an impending trip to Chile, I figured I would have some amusing things to talk about.
So, please, take a look around and check back often as I will be posting more things.
P.S: I am currently looking for work in the San Francisco area, so if you know anyone looking for an adorable, quirky nerd with a passion for popculture, design, writing, and all this geek, feel free to send this along.
